    What to do...

I have a Backside 800 down filled sleeping bag that is rated at -40 degrees. I have been thinking about making it into an underquilt, but am hesitant to do it myself. I make my own hammocks, stuff sacks etc, but am worried about taking this project on. I have made some other synthetic underquilts. Also, I think I will have a section left over that would be too small to make a top quilt, but could use for something else.I need some suggestions.

    Description

Measures 94 long 35-Inch wide at shoulder 12.5 foot box weight 5lbs
It comes with YKK zippers and oversized draft tubes

Pillow, down filled socks, down hat, down gloves! Heck you could make down underwear, that or you could get some extra fabric and make a TQ and UQ, use the bag fabric and half down for the UQ, then use the new fabric and the other half of the down for the TQ!

can you install or have someone install a zipper on the bottom and just use the whole bag as a peapod?

How about selling the bag and putting the money toward a quilt?
