Question about whoopie sling suspension for a heavy hanger.

So, spent my first night in a hammock last night, and slept much better than I do on the ground, but want to upgrade the suspension on my Skeeter beeter pro. I would like to add a structural ridge line of amsteel, some whoopie slings and some webbing and use a marlon spike hitch to attach to tree. My question is, will this be an issue for me at 295 pounds? Are there any warnings I should be aware of being a heavy hanger. I was gonna check out the Whoopie Sling site and call them, but sitting at the ball field and thought I would post the question.

I can't speak for the folks at whoopie slings, but I have some hangers in the 400 pound range on my gear. And have done 24 hour continuous tests with over 600 pounds on some of my stuff. At under 300 you should be good, we have a lot of even bigger guys in hammocks around here.

Nope. Whoopies will hold you. Guys bigger than you are hanging from from whoopies no problem.

I became a believer in both the marlin spike hitch and whoopie slings when I saw a 400 lbs person climb in a hammock and it held.
