    KAQ rated to 30*?

What's the lowest you've gone with a KAQ? Plan on going to 30's in the Canyon Maybe lower, will a Couple layers of IX keep me good to 0*? Anyone with experience?

Just walked in from a few days in the Adirondacks. My wife used a KAQ Potomac down to 32* but this is an older model - I don't think it is the one being made now.

I have used my down to the upper 20's with a baselayer and fleece jacket. I have two of them complete and two of the DIY AHE kits to build. Used one as an UQ and one as a TQ. With the IX insert you should be able to get to 30 easy.

I used the BB-O and lost river the last 2 nights. Rain, wind and morning temps 36-38*. One night with a pad and one night without. I was warmer and slept better without the pad, go figure. This was the first trip with them so I don't know what 0* is going to feel like but it's coming...
I'm not sure what the IX will do for you but it can't hurt.

I've taken one down to 25 F. It was an extra thick one (extra layer of insulation) but I'm as certain as I can be without actually doing it that I could have taken it down to 15 F comfortably.

How warm/cold you sleep makes a huge difference. I seem to be able to sleep in the cold without as much as most most people. It's different for everybody.

Where are you going that's going to get down to 0 F

Doing a group hang next weekend in Az high country and it's beginning to look like we may be seeing temps down to the 30's or lower. Using a 0* mummy bag for TQ, guess I'll try the KAUQ with a PL and have the O'l Wool blanket as back up. Thought about down products, but want to stick to synthetics, because I use same gear in Kayak.
