    Fabricsupplier 1.6oz Ripstop

I came back from exploring the area around my campsite last weekend and found two kids poking around my gear so it's time to make a tarp which is harder to spot. Has anyone used this fabric?

If so, is it decent quality and waterproof like the seller claims? Any idea how much it weighs?

I got the same fabric from the same seller and the tarp I made with it works great. Buy with confidence.

Do you know how much a square yard of the fabric weighs?

I sure don't. When I bought it I didn't have a digital scale. Comparing it to the 1.5oz I got from BWDD, I would guess the 1.6 oz on this fabric is before being coated. I could be wrong though.

The link below is for another thread discussing this material. There is a pic of a tarp I made in the thread. 1.6 is before the coating. It is about 3oz yard after coating

I ordered some from the same guy. Got it for under $3 a yard.
When I get my Hennessey tarp back from 2Q, I plan on using it as a template to make a tarp with this material.

Thanks for the information. I was hoping that it was closer to 2oz with the coating. Does anyone know where to find O.D. green silnylon or a lighter waterproof camouflage fabric? Weight and bulk are important since the tarp will mainly be used for backcountry bikepacking trips.

I know the Englewood Army/ Navy on Broadway and Hampton (south Denver) has PU coated ripstop in woodland camo for $5 a yard, it's 1.9 oz before coating, and no shipping costs for you.
