Understood. Always debated in my brain the actual pronunciation.....

I always pronounced it 'Heter-oy', but I think he pronounces it 'Heter-eye'. Like a lot of HF names, they are much harder to pronounce in person.

hehe, I have no idea how to pronounce it either. Wasn't a problem until I started meeting people from the internet in the woods

I've always liked that it has multiple meanings (kinda like the new motto) which boil down to "companion" or "drinking buddy".

As for winning, thanks to the mods, very happy my entry was chosen out of the many, many great possibilities.

Also think it's wonderful that they took a simple idea, changed it slightly and made it better. EXACTLY WHAT THIS COMMUNITY IS ALL ABOUT

Congratulations, John! Sweet new motto! I like it...I like it a lot.
    --Scott <><

"I fish because I love to; because I love the environs where trout are found, which are invariably beautiful... because, in a world where most men seem to spend their lives doing things they hate, my fishing is at once an endless source of delight and an act of small rebellion; because trout do not lie or cheat and cannot be bought or bribed or impressed by power, but respond only to quietude and humility and endless patience...." --Robert Traver
