Great trip report, and thanks for the pictures.
I don't like crowds of humans either.
I would feel more optimistic about a bright future for man if he spent less time proving that he can outwit Nature and more time tasting her sweetness and respecting her seniority. - E. B. White (1899 - 1985)
A quick bus rid and a 4 mile hike to that! Wonderful! I'm jealous..
Looked like a great overnighter...

Good luck on the second trip and thank you for letting me see a portion of the world that I may never get to see..................it is always good to have a friend along with you when hiking, especially when they have a bicycle and can act as your sherpa!!!!!

I'm not familiar with the rucksack you used, but it looks from the video like there might be a sternum strap, or a place to attach one.
I like the sternum strap since it helps move some of the weight of the backpack to my upper chest, and it also helps keep the shoulder straps from rubbing on the fronts of my shoulders.
Of course, the hip belt tightened up is good also!
I like the field with cows. Many places I hike out here in California are made on former (or current) ranch land. With cattle guards like you crossed and wide paths. I also liked that very pink mushroom.

Had a terrific time. Love the fresh air and simplicity of life when in the outdoors. Whoooo Buddy.

Glad you liked it. As for crowds, let me out.
Yes it is good to have easy access to nature, though if I have to go on a genuine hike in the wilderness I would have to travel some 200 miles.
Most reliably friend is your buddy. Will never let you down. Your Bush Buddy.
I hear you loud and clear. As in Ravens Bread. So a Black Bird it must be.

looks great! What could be better than bushbuddy coffee and chocolate with the cows. What kind of wood did you burn, looked green?

Thank you. And the Bushbuddy. Apart from a hammock it is the best gear you can possibly get.
Next best coffee is served in the morning with a brand new Shug video. And as for the tree burned it is just old and weathered, origin unknown.
Best,
Blaze.
