My trail name is Susie. I make most of my own gear and have been dubbed Susie Homemaker by my hiking buddies.

Mine is just a play on my name. My last name is Scruggs, so it kinda just came together... No particular reason.

I was explaining mine at a hang last month up in Michigan. I was a pretty good basketball player in high school and my nickname was "Snake." One game my senior year I was stinking it up in the first half and at halftime my coach completely ripped me in front of the other players. Told me if I was going to play like that, they would need to change my nickname to "Garter Snake." I had a really good second half and we ended up winning on a last second play. We were celebrating in the locker room after the game and told my coach that from now on, he had to call me Kingsnake. From there, the nickname stuck, so when I was first getting involved in some of the forums, that was the name I used.

    Saw this video

Been wishing for a Turbo Minivan ever since. Quite frankly, I'd take any mid-80s Shelby-ized Dodge (Omni GLHS, Shelby Charger, etc.)

Mines always been Atlas. I was a free safety in high school. I would catch jumping receivers and hold them up for a few seconds to freak them out. Nickname stuck.

Back when I was a young pup, a guy preferred to call me Zoomie. Zoom is part of my email addy and for some reason, he just refused to cough up the fur ball. And every time someone heard him use it, they too decided to jump on the band wagon.

I hated it. Unfortunately, it was like a bad fungus and refused to go away.

About 10 years ago I finally made peace with it. Besides, I've been called far worse..........by my wife...........on a good day !
