I just use Gear Aid's Silnet silicone seam sealer on the pullouts of my BMJ and SF.

Bringing this one back... I did some searching and haven't found it. Do you seal the pullouts on the outside of the tarp or the inside or both?

You do not need to seal both sides. Looks like if you seal the outside you get a better seal and use less silicone. But then the work is not as clean /hidden. I just bought a superfly in camo that I need to seal. Havent decided which side I will seal yet.

AFAIK WB tarps ridgeline do not need to be sealed. The way Brandon sews it with gros grain seals it up without sealer.

Right, I was referring to the panels.
I had the tarp out in some light rain and didn't notice any leaking. Planning on doing a light seal, maybe just enough to sil the thread, can always add more later.

After thinking about this your probably right, due to heavy winds, repeated use and how much silnylon can stretch, better to be sure.
