I need something bigger than the stock HH tarp. This is 12x12 and cheap so there we go.

I saw Neo's tarp a few weeks ago. You will get a lot of coverage from that tarp, and it is a bargain. Probably not the lightest choice, assuming it is made of the same material as Neo's. But as far as price and coverage goes, hard to beat.

that is not the "neo" tarp but it is similar - however it is on "back order" until march according to customer service at sportsmanguide.

The 12 x 12 version of this is neo's tarp:

However, it is not available. It has ben discontinued.

Is there any difference other than the camo? Made of different materials?

The tarps appear to be different, but given that neither one is available it doesn't make much difference.

although they are much more expensive, the new speer and jbr tarps still seem like bargins to me given that 1. you know what they are made of and what they weigh, 2. they are made and sold by companies that at least have good reputations on this forum, and 3. you can get detailed pics, descriptions, and diagrams at their websites.

I'd be buying the Speer Winter tarp if it was long enough for what I want...

The material alone is a significant portion of the cost.

What about this? It's cheap and it looks like it has better coverage than the stock HH. Just a tad heavy.

it's less than 10 x 8. i think most are looking for larger tarps.

I'm just having trouble finding a cheap tarp. I'm not to happy with the stock HH. It has kept me dry some days, but I would feel much more secure with a larger tarp.

    *sigh*
