    Northwest Arkansas Hanger

I'm a recent convert to the lifestyle. I am a Cub Master and Assistant Scout Master, so I'm not new to camping or hiking. I have recently been transitioning into semi ultralight backpacking and that's how I came across the hammock. In the past I had only viewed hammocks as a camping accessory. But, after stumbling on some hammock sites and doing a little more research, I decided to see if it was something I might like. I found a Grand Trunk Skeeter Beeter at a local shop and now I'm hooked.

If there are any hangings in the northwest Arkansas area I'd love to know about them. I'm working on a trip to do the Buffalo trail in Spring. And now I'm not even worried about finding campsites!

Welcome to the wonderful world of hammocks I found it is the only way I can go camping anymore, off the ground.

Welcome aboard! I too like the freedom that hanging provides, campsites are nice but since all I need are two well spaced trees there's always a place to hang in the Adirondacks.

    Hey There!
I learned a ton in Scouts. For me .... it was the Leaders. I was lucky to have mighty good ones. Shoot ... they wanted to camp all they could. That meant we did too!!! Mr. Seagle, Mr. Duckworth, Mr. Green .... Thank you.

There was a hang last spring on the Buffalo River last spring. Keep an eye on this site I think that there will be a second annual Ozark hang.

That's us, Shug. Sometimes we have to drag the kids along, but us old guys are determined to have a good time.

BTW, I love the youtube videos.

I'd be happy to help coordinate, since I'm here all the time anyway.
