I had the same problem with one of my DLs. The issue wasn't the sewing, it was the whipping and larks head i used to attach the whoopie... straightened that out, and the problem went away.

Like DL hammock seem to be a quite difficult well-sleeping solution, do you think that it worth to make them like they weight the double of a single layer hammock ?

It sounds like your inside layer is slightly narrower than the outside layer. This could be due to sewing or whipping. I have not experienced any slipping/sliding problems with my DIY DL (72" wide 1.9 oz ripstop) but I edged the entire body with grossgrain and added zippers (for a zip-off bugnet). It ended up pretty bombproof and noticeably more comfy than either my ENO doublenest or my HH Explorer.
This is exactly what I was going to say. Had the same problem with my first dl hammock which happens to be the one I previously made. When making your whip ends pay close attention how the fabric turns and creases. Also make sure your suspension is not attached to the side of your whipping. This will cause the whipping to roll with the suspension facing up causing your hammock sides to roll with it.Originally Posted by jackyb88

are you using side tie-outs? it does help in keeping the sides from rolling.
I've just made my first DL and I guess I'm lucky b/c no rolling at the edges!
what kind of whipping are you using?
