Was going to go last weekend, but the Rangers were still playing baseball... Was going to go this coming weekend, but the Rangers will still be playing baseball... Hopefully the next weekend will be out due to a world series???
I want to go backpacking so bad I can taste it, but the next outing might be car camping at the TX hang.

I feel kindred spirits on this thread.
Went last weekend on a recon for a group hang... going car camping next weekend with a group of college kids, and like ^Shane^ I too want to go out beyond the parking lots.. I love and miss backpacking when in the midst of car camp outings.
Then it's the Texas group hang in November. Come on down and join us Shug and Cooldays. It's only a couple of days of driving.
I may still find a way to sneak away for a hike. My spirit and mind are there, it's just a matter of getting the rest of me out.

I hear ya! Heading out for a four day backwoods camp out in Southern Michigan with my son. Gonna be fun and long overdue this year.
That which does not kill me has made a grave tactical error.
It even pulls us down south in Florida too!
Gearing up for an overnighter weekend in a virgin-to-the-trail WBBB. Cannot wait to get out there!

Three days in the Adirondacks last weekend and this past weekend at MAHHA and I still want to get out! Perfect weather on the east coast lately.
