Welcome to the jumpmaster.
We here in North Texas are ALWAYS thinking of a way/reason to hang with our compadres. Throkda is our member representative for Cedar Hill State Park and a "sometime soon" would be great.

If you are close to Austin PM me and I will add you to the ever growing list of Central Texas Hangers. Usually I post on here if we are getting ready to head out, but sometimes a last minute deal comes up and I send out a text blast. If you want in on the text blast PM me the phone number and I will add you to the list.

Sounds like fun, guys! Unfortunately, I'm pretty far from both of y'all...about 3.5 hours south of Dallas and 2 hours east of Austin. (Texas is a big state, huh? ) Probably too far for quick-notice get-togethers, but I appreciate it!
If there's a planned get-together though, I might be able to get over there...I'll certainly try to!

Welcome!!
Sounds like you're in my neighborhood.
Yeah Texas is a big state but the folks on here that I have had the privilege to hang out with are worth the drive.
Keep posting and reading and you will see opportunities to meet closer to home or better yet, post a trip and invite others to join you.
Actually, I was thinking it would be nice to have a get-together here in B/CS. There has to be more than a couple of us here in town...

Howdy! Your videos are a hoot! I've been watchin them, trying to learn some things.
Ahhhh...I've been there...thickly-wooded there!
I think I finally got my ENO-SN all figured out and set up...except for the ridgeline...it's been working great in the yard lately...maybe I'll get brave and go to a park next.

If it helps, I'll tell you what I did- get some accessory cord at the climbing/mountain shop; 12 ft should be plenty; tie one end in a bowline around the whoopie where it attaches to the hammock, then run around the other end, but stay above the link-point, and back along the (new) ridgeline- tie a taunt-line hitch, or other laterally adjustable knot, and start testing what length gives the right sag for you to be comfortable. once you find a comfortable setting, just tie both ends permanently to the whoopies, or hammock, at their connection points.
