    I don't know, I sure wish I still had one of the mustangs we used in the Coast Guard for cold water rescues. Bet that would sure be warm even if it did weigh about a 100 pounds.

    I carried the ALICE and traded it in on the Molle II, and i been carring one or the outher since i was 17 so its been 19 yrs now, and i think its just fine, "The MolleII is not a very heavy pack". The old ALICE is about twice the weight, and can be a back breaker, (I hated that pack when i was in the Army). I do have a Kelty Redcloud 5400, and i still perfer the MOLLE II.

    By the way what works for you may not work for outhers, and age alone does not equal wisdom my friend..
