    First hammock arrived today.

I ordered a HHE zip last week and it arrived today.
Funny as I was trying to set it up, I was reminded of golf...
Just like in golf you try to remember everything you have ever learned all at one time and seem to screw up, so was my setting up of the hammock. Everything I have read here I tried to incorporate at one shot, needless to say, 2 hours later I successfully had my HHE with supershelter and tarp set up

On the bright side, man was that comfortable, I actually contemplated staying out there! I guess I got plans for the weekend afterall.

Thanks so much for all the knowledge you guys share on this forum. My first shot was successful. Slow yes, but successful none-the-less.

Can't wait to get out on the trail now...

Nice. But are you sure it happened? I don't see any pictures.

Cool! I remember my first set up. It was before I found HF so I took a lot longer. Would love to see some pics of the set up bro!
I was not properly relaxing until I found hammocks.

Congrats, and welcome to the getting the "hang" of things.
I miss my 4.8Lb base weight as a ground dweller...But I sure DON'T MISS the ground.

So now I can say, Yes it did happen!
Couldn't take pictures originally since it was dark by the time I was done. Today I got rid of the black rope from the tarp and replaced it with some of the paracord that reflects light.

Welcome to the madness! And your first hammy. Soon, you'll be converting to whoopie slings and what not. Making yourself a topquilt, and feeling the need to sleep in colder and colder temps. Heck, I'm waiting for a really good rainy weekend so I can test out my silnylon hex fly. I haven't been able to get it wet yet. So sad. I know.... We are all addicts, so don't feel bad.
