    Attack Skeeters

Had the day off so I thought I would go out to the backyard and do a hammock reseach project (take a nap).

By the time I walked out to my hanging site I was covered with skeeters and came back inside.

Can't wait for a freeze to kill them.

I was taking my Blackbird vice my Eno DN out to use but the skeeters were so bad I couldn't even make it to my backyard hanging posts. The wife went out for about a minute and came back in covered (her white pants were black and furry).

We have salt water skeeters here on the coast and they are mean. We call them Down East Humming Birds.

Did not want to spray myself with DEET as it could effect the hammock fabric. I have treated all my hammocks with Sawyer Permethrin.

Have thought about it but I have a aquatic nursery business that would be hard to move at this point.

You're always a Marine, right? Well, you might not be able to get an M2-2 easily, but the Weed Dragon might suffice:

I used to know some guys that would burn tires to keep the skeeters away. Tire smoke doesn't smell very good though but I guess that's why the skeeters stay away from it.
They see me swingin', they hatin'...
