    Hello from North Carolina

    Hello,

I am long time lurker and have finally created a account. I would like to thank everyone for there great posts in the DIY section. My friend introduced me to hammock camping I thought he was crazy until I tried it. I have been hooked ever since. Currently I own a Claytor hammock. I am in the process of making a ACU Hammock, ACU under quilt, and Tarp. I have ordered 1.6 ripstop nylon to make it all with. Any how just wanted to say hello

Hello to all and thanks for the warm welcome.

Quick question when I am sewing the ripstop fabric do I need a special needle or have to seal the seams once I am done ? I didn't see anything in the DIY section. I could of missed it though

    Update,

Hey I just wanted to update my post.

Myself and my buddy Chris Duke who is good friends with NEO have been doing a lot of hammock camping in Nashville, NC at a spot of ours we have come across. I will post some pictures soon.

Also, I have put my ACU hammock on hold that I was going to construct. I have purchased a Hennessy Explorer A-SYM with the 4 season kit and 30D Hex Sinylon Ripstop Rainfly. I have only hung the hammock in the back yard it is different from the Claytor but I like it.

Chris has his Warbonnet Blackbird on order and should be here soon. We hope to try both out in the Bush pretty soon.

I also look forward to going to one of the Hangouts soon.
