    Zip ties on ends

    Get drawing Chees.
    You can try the plastic zip ties ( somepeople may call them quick ties) for the ends that way when you finish using as a UQ you can simply cut them off.

    haha thing is i prefer to keep sharp blades away from my sleeping bag...
    the ziplocks would definitely hold the sleeping bag corners more tightly though.

    anyway, let's see what the OP ends up with.

    Thanks for the help everyone. In the end I went for a poncho liner underquilt. I saw one at the local army surplus store and did that one instead. I was testing out last night for a little bit and I think that a sleeping bag might have been too warm for me as i am a warm sleeper any way.
