    Hammock with bug net...

My father in-law is getting a hammock for xmass. He is not the kind that hikes, camps, or leaves the house. BUT, he is the type who would love to hang and nap in the back yard.
He lives in the Mississippi Delta next to thousands of acres of rice fields which means the skeeters are a VERY big problem.
I am looking for commercial examples of hammocks with bug nets that are affordable. Don't get me wrong, a WBBB or HH would be great, but they a bit more expensive than I want to spend for a back yard lounging hammock that will never see a single night of sleep (unless it's by accident)

Any recommendations? I am debating making one for him and adding noseeum with omnitape or a zipper, but would like to know what is available to buy before I start to tackle that one.
Right now I have too many projects in the works with quilts, other hammocks, tarps, pillows, straps, nets, packs, flux capacitors, stoves, guy lines...etc

HH has a bunch of them on sale this month. Call or email them for a list. They may have just what you need.

I sure cannot think of anything.

Even the Trek Light with an add-on bug-net will run you $125 bucks, which is only $50 bucks less than a WBBB.

And, I had thought about the JRB Bridge... but it looks to be even more expensive than a WBBB.

Be sure to check this weeks special after noon today....save $60 on a JRB BMBH and Tarp combo.... And it is the new sewn-onzipped bug net... nice in skeeter country.

I believe Hammock bliss No-See-UM hammock is supposed to be a low cost but decent hammock. Dicks Sporting goods has them for sale on-line for $61.99 if you have a store close by they will meet the price and you won't have to pay shipping.

This company gets good reviews here on the forum

    or

I have not seen much about the Hammock Bliss on the forum...not sure why. But certainly inexpensive. I like the black netting. Would be interested if anyone has any experience with them. The other option would be

    With almost any hammock.
Gentle raindrops and mighty oceans...neither can exist without the other.
Time heals all wounds...but it usually leaves a pretty big scar.

my son is 30 and if he wanted to get me that, i would enjoy it much more and be more appreciative of him knowing that he went to the effort of learning about it and making it himself vs spending money that may have been dear to him.

$125 would get you a Warbonnet Traveler 1.7 single layer with bug net. How much does he weigh and what is your Pop inlaw worth?
