Arrow Winter Hang Out. Second Round Of Voting.

This thread is in reference to the Winter Hang Out planning thread.

I removed the Smokies from from the list of candidates and added choices for the dates of the hang out. You are capable of multiple votes. Please vote once for the location and once for the dates.

I chose January at Mt Rodgers b/c I want it as close as possible and as soon as possible. Besides Feb 8th is my birthday so that is out. Now I better get started on a winter UQ.

I voted Mt Rogers. Actually would prefer RRG cause it's closer, but if it's held on the Jan date, I can go nearly anywhere within about 400 miles so, , , , ,

UM, where at Mt Rogers? The Wise shelter like last time?

it does have some good features... short hike in, easy to find, water, shelter if needed, fairly well protected from strong winds, fairly high elevation.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

That's my vote! Mostly for the reasons slowhike says.

This time I'm bringing a day hike pack for the GREAT hiking avalable from there.

OK guys & gals... it's December now, do you think we should go ahead & nail down the local & date for the winter camp out?

it might be good so people can go ahead & put it on the calendar. ...tim

As of now it looks like Mt Rogers on Jan. 25-27, according to the votes. Overwhelming majority on both the date and place.

We could let the poll go until Sunday so that anyone who thinks they can attend can get a chance to vote or we can just call it right now.
