The 12 Rules of Hammock Hanging

1. Get pictures or it did not happen.
2. You never have enough hammocks
3. Its not an addiction unless you are trying to stop
4. Do not hang higher that you are willing to fall
5. Its just a hobby, its just a hobby, its just a hobby....
6. Its not a sewing machine, its a thread injector.
7. Dutch Clips have magical properties
8. Do not covet your neighbors hammock
9. There is always a better way to hang your hammock and or tarp
10. You describe your latest trip by the places you hung your hammock
11. You hope your wife kicks you out of the bed so you can hang in the back yard.
12. You are not an official hammock hanger until you have watched all of Shug's videos

That is hilarious. I would have to agree with every single one of those. I am currently about 3/4's through Shug's videos, and about to order my third hammock, and just started getting into this about 2 weeks ago.

My fiance and I were watching Shugs videos on my 10' home theater screen. It's quite epic when he's life size in your livingroom!

Did not think of it when I wrote it but rule # 12 is a catch 22, as Shug is always coming out with new videos, one is always having to requalify to be a hammock hannger

Maybe we will need to come up with an official hammock hanger certification program with different certification levels like scuba diving; such as local hanger, group hanger, cave hanger, cold weather hanger, multi country hanger, diy hanger, back yard hanger.... the possibilities go on and on

Shug could be the "Official" hammock hangin' instructor.

I have a contender for rule # 13
13. At some point you will fall on your butt in an ungraceful manner while exiting your hammock, and it will always be in front of an audience of ground dwellers who scoff at your hammock hanging ways.
