i don't know just what the fabric would be per sq yard but the finished tarp weighs 1lb, 6ozs w/ all it's seams & tie outs, & is aprox 10' x 10'.

I too will something make and joy in it's making
so, 10 square yards, at 22oz is about 2.2oz a yard, more like 1.9 with extra for the tieouts.
Just fyi, the HH silnylon hex fly is 1.18 pounds (19oz) and it is 12'x11'. Add tiny bit more weight for tieouts.
I just bought one and am thinking of making a cat tarp out of it...
I don't know what the price difference between the Kelty tarp and the HH tarp though. How much is the Kelty? Never mind. I see there is about an $80.00 difference in price... sorry.

Just bought the Kelty Noah 9 from Campmor.com - $50.00.
I have been looking at the Neo tarp, which I believe is 12'x12'. That one is just way too big for me - diagonal is just a hair under 17'. The 9'x9' is a smidgen too small with a diagonal of 12.72'.
The Kelty Noah 9 is 10'3"x10'3" which gives a diagonal of 14.5'. Not too small and not too big.
Also, not the lightest thing around, but for that price
sorry for the delayed answers...
i'll get a photo of the corners if you still want, it has eyelets on the 4 corners, also has webbing loops, i used the loops w/ some cord and figure 9's
it has little wings because its a diamond shaped tarp, i just tied out the extra loops like a hex cause its winter, that gives it a steeper pitch so it holds snow/ice better, also makes it more taut
another thing about this tarp is if you want to go stealth in winter it blends into the snow fairly well
