I'm looking forward to this guys!

I just need to get an oil change on the car, pack up my gear...maybe pick up some food stuffs and ROLL!

I'm going to be doing some hard driving...getting off work on Thursday around 5pm, going home for a couple hours of sleep, then driving up to Minnesota overnight to meet you all for breakfast around 9am or so.

I'm sorry I haven't been more present and timely with this trip for the past 10 days or so. Between family, holidays and work, things were out of control. The work bit continues to press on my time and priorities. The bottom line is that I will be unable to make the Frozen Butt Hang this weekend.

I'm REALLY disappointed because I've been looking forward to this and to connecting with so many HF stalwarts! I'm bummed but I know you'll have a memorable, fun, and safe trip.

I've spoken with Don Kevilus (Fourdog) about my lack of availability and he's agreed to step up to the role of leader/coordinator for this event. Don's a genuinely nice and extremely woods-and-winter camping knowledgeable guy. I know you'll be in good hands.

I'm working like mad to get out from under my "work cloud". I can see daylight ahead, but not before this weekend.

Awe, beep, that's a bummer. I was looking forward to meeting you and hopefully learning some from you!

I'm glad Fourdog is stepping up, as I understand he's very knowledgeable!

I hope to meet you sometime soon! Hang in there with the work!

We'll ask the guys at the front to walk two abreast. Don't want to trip on the sides of the track.

It's a good thing I have a huge pulk. This traditional garments idea is heavy! I put together just the clothing I will wear, leaving out spare clothing... it fills a duffel and weighs several pounds!

Was out snowshoeing with pulk the last three days. Central Wisconsin snow is about 6 inches, with a hard crust. With just boots, occassionally broke thru (2 inches), but no problems in SS. Pulk with about 30 lbs was always "on top". Just screwing around. Enjoy the trip. Cold is temporary, memories are forever.
