I keep one on my ENO DN..very nice for chair-like use.

I have not put one on another hammock though.

somebody pm me - what exactly is a foot line? I don't want to spoil the surprise for the apparent majority who don't know that terminology.

    re

Saw someone in one of Shug's videos using one of these. Been meaning to try it out with some paracord and maybe with a piece of dyneema if I like it.

OK for those hangers that have never heard of a foot line here is an explanation - a foot line is a line (ex 550 cord) that one can rest their feet on while sitting sideways in their hammock; the line is connected to the support ropes where the support ropes connect to the hammock body (I usually have a descender ring at these two points so I tie the foot line to the rings); the line is usually tied so that the length of the line can be fine tuned while sitting in the hammock (I hard tie the line to one ring and then loop it through the other ring and use a taught line hitch to make the line adjustable); when not in use the foot line dangles under the hammock; sometime the foot line is useful for airing out quilts - just adjust the line to take out all the slack and you have a ridge line usable for hanging stuff on

attached is a picture of someone using a foot line

it feels to me very much like sitting in a recliner when using a foot line except that you leave your shoes on

I made one for a car camping trip a while back; liked it!
But, I never think about it anymore. This thread is probably the first time I've thought about it in a couple of months.
    Trust nobody!
