I've tried both 900 and 800 FP down and was surprised that there was such a difference. I'm a great fan of Momentum as well.
You have selected the best of materials and it shows!
Amazing! That top quilt, if your estimates are correct, is he same weight az my 3/4 underquilt. Nicely done.

This was a first time working with either momentum or down but I'm so glad I got the momentum. As for the weight I'm going to get a proper scale this weekend so will post an accurate weight but by the calculations it should be close to what is posted. Anyone thinking about making a quilt should give it a try. However give yourself plenty of time and don't rush things. Get together the steps and order of them before you cut anything out. Finally don't try to get everything perfect, it just won't happen. This quilt came out better than my expectations and there's something to proud of when you are the one to make it.

The plans were from all over the place actually. I used some from the thru hiker site some from a pdf file I found and just looked at alot of quilts online and kind of made my own dimension and went from there. I'm a tall guy so there were things built in for that such as the footbox is probably long compared to alot of quilts. The tools needed were the harderst part for me, I have a 1970's sewing machine, scissors that's cut everything but fabric and a soldering gun to cut-seal the momentum.
I ordered two quilt kits from thru hiker to build a TQ and UQ and asked Ace some questions. He said when you order from him you get to ask question for free and to call for any help needed. This isn't a plug for thru hiker but he helped me out alot and he was just a fun guy to talk to.
There are small things like a couple of broken thread mendings that I can see so it isn't perfect but there is something to be said about a handmade item.
