    Hang'n Down Under

    Hi everyone,

Great to be a part of somthing so great.

Just new to the world of hammocking and have been through the initiation process of watching Shug and everyone's vids. The effort you all have gone to in sharing the adventures makes it hard not to become a little hammock mad. Talk about "working the freak" I think it brings it out in all of us yeah?

I'm in Sydney Australia and have been hiking for a little while now and with my new hammock gear (as simple as it is for now) I'm ready for some serious adventures. Looking forward to getting some group hangs together for the Aussie possie that I see is starting to have some solid numbers here.

Speak soon and see you in the trees.

Hey Lepmeister, welcome to HF. I'm new to hammocks as well.

There sure do seem to be more and more Aussies slowly showing up here on HF. A group hang is a great idea, there was a thread about it for NSW and sydney members.

    What hammock do you have?

Hmmm, Hmmm.... I like the way he talks

Thanks Shug, a hang in Oz with Shug - now that would have us coming out of the woodwork, I cant think of a bigger headline. Hope it can happen for sure... maybe you could bring that Sean Emery guy with you and do some shows while your here?

Thanks for all the info, you obviously enjoy the whole process of production - but what can be said? your an entertainer in the true form.

Welcome Lep. I think you'll find most of the regulars on this forum were Aussies in a previous life. They're all really friendly, really laid back and happy to have a chat and share their experiences.

Use the forum search to look for threads related to what your interested in doing. There is so much usefull information on this forum.

I have just taken delivery of a Terra Rosa Gear Adventuring Tarp in black 30d Sil-Nylin. Evan does FANTASTIC work. As soon as I get a chance (hopefully Sunday at Long Reef while the kids are at nippers) I'll take some photos and post a review.

We're trying to get a group hang organised for early next year, once the Christmas rush is out of the way, but if your keen to do something earlier, start a new thread with the details and see who jumps on-board

My only other advice would be, if you have the coin, take advantage of the current exchange rate. Until Terra Rosa Gear starts making UQ's , the US is the place to get them from.

    Cheers,
    Russ
