Thanks guys! I've been looking for that beaver for a while now. I've seen his sign there for years now but have never seen him until recently. I couldn't believe my eyes when he walked right up to my feet. The stick in the left side of the picture is my walking stick and I was holding it just to give you some perspective. I actually tried to get a better shot of him after I took that one but he decided he didn't want to be that close to me anymore. The spider were beautiful. Especially the orange one.

That first spider photo was awesome how the light goes through him.
I thought so too. My favorite is the one with the black background. Considering composition it is probably the best picture I've ever taken. Thanks for the compliments on the photos. I've been working hard on my photography skills to help make my underwater photography better. I'm getting there but I still have a long ways to go.

    Another

Here's another picture of the orange spider for you guys. It's not quite as sharp but the spider's color is amazing.

Hey BillyBob58 It is always easier to ask forgiveness than ask for permission. Us hangers do not hurt the environment so just go for it and be stealthy. Last winter I was out snowshoeing and a few snowmobilers went by my "stealth site" while I was having lunch and they didn't even see me. I thought it was great.
So true about forgiveness vs permission! Often I have been hanging at said park on a weekend, and watched the dirt bikes roar by a short distance away. They never see me. But, during the week I almost always have the entire park's woods ( trace State Park) to myself. And there are never any other hikers.
