    Any hangs in Virginia?

    Hello All:

I'm new to hanging and I'd like to get in with a crowd to do my first official hang. Is there anything happening in the western half of Virginia? Barring that, is there anyone that could suggest something reasonably close by? (I'm in Blacksburg)

    Thanks.

    SB

Hey Solobear. I usually go to the NC hangs, and the Mt. Rogers hang.

There's also a hiking club out of Roanoke, called the Roanoke Outdoor and Social Club that does a lot of hikes and backpacking and just general outdoorsy stuff.
I'm in Radford, so if ya want to meet up, just shoot me a PM. I'm headed out to the Linville Gorge hang, it's only about a 3.5 hour trip, Hot Springs in the Spring and Fall is about a 4 hour trip, and Dolly Sods is about 5.5. Haven't been to MAHHA.

    Welcome aboard!
