    Thanks shug!

I guess I should mention the weight. Mine weighs 4 oz., but I also edged it with grosgrain and my prototype had some extra tie outs too. I could also trim the corners a bit better for a smooth custom fit. I plan to build a few more and my target weight is around 3 oz.

Here's a snap of it. I mistakenly put it over the hammock ridgeline, but it works well that way too! In the one pic you can see I'm holding the long edges together. I will be adding a bit of omni tape on this edge so I can actually seal it up if needed. Great instructions, pretty easy to make. Thanks dejoha.

Rupiper, did you cut an opening slit done the middle? Thanks for posting the pics. I am curious about that one photo, however.

I just returned from a trip and I picked up some tulle fabric (netting) that i'd like to use to make another HUG, which should dramatically reduce the weight.

I like having access to the ridgeline for storage.
    CajunHiker,

I've been thinking about your comment and after some have posted success with the HUG over the ridgeline, I see now reason why you couldn't fit an organizer either inside or outside the HUG with success.

    Click!

Since I hung it over the ridgeline, obviously both sides would hang down.

Duh, should I have thought about that. It should cover well now once I actually put it up correctly......

I redact my post about adding omni tape. I'll put it up again this weekend and post properly installed pics.

OH! Yes, you're right. In order to go over the ridgeline, you would need to feed the ridgeline through the hole so the end of the netting would hang down.

On one of my prototypes, I cut a slit up to where the patch was sewn so it would fit over a ridgeline. In that case, adding omni tape would be a good idea. I opted not to do that on future models to keep the design simple and the attachment easier.
