Still curious to know if the Aqua Simple will be back.

    Thanks Paul.

At this point I have not been able to find an acceptable replacement for a component that we have not been able to get for a while. Add in that we are being flooded with orders consistently and the other projects that we are working on and the very time consuming Aquasimple will not likely be making a return visit. Sorry.

Thanks for the update Paul. It is a shame for those that are after one but I completely understand your situation and respect your decision.

Looks like I need to gain some DIY skills. Not a bad thing I suppose.

I was waiting for the aqua simple also but I think I'm gonna go with a Katadyn Base Camp At 11 oz its not that much of a weight gain and its also made very well.

These things are super easy to make and for a lot less money than an off the shelf model. The directions are in the members only forums.

Mine is a Sea to Summit sil nylon 8L dry bag, the plastic hardware described in the directions, an inline Fram paper fuel filter as a pre-filter, and a Sawyer in-line gravity filter. I like the Sawyer in-line filter better than having the Hiker filter cartridge in the bag. Weighs nothing and costs me no man-power to filter my aqua.

Thanks for the info ^shane^. I think I will try your approach and go with the Sawyer in-line filter.

I use the same system. I like the Sawyer filters better as well and they last longer too.

I love my DIY gravity filter I made from the above mentioned directions and think the Aqua Simple is a great product.

FWIW, I noticed on Facebook that ULA is going to begin production of the Amigo Filter sometime in the fairly near future.
