    My scale also said 0.6 Oz for the wire stakes & the groundhogs, but I never trusted that (Very OLD scale) so only carried 4 MSRs thinking I was saving weight. carried 4 wire stakes, but have gone through 8 of them in the past 3 months. Just finished switching out all the wire stakes for MSRs, Thanks!!!

    My local REI has MSRs for 1.95 each. That is 8 for less than $16.00.

    Nice review on a dull subject. Another plus of the reflective loop is if the stake is really stuck in the ground you can put another stake thru the loop and use it as a handle to pull the ground stake out.

    The alloy used is important and I wonder if the Groundhog clones might not be lower quality.
