    First hang

Took an overnighter on a river here in north west Fl. First time using the hammock with my arrowhead underquilt. The quilt was awsome, had to get out of my bag and use it as a topquilt it got so worm. Temps were low forties high thirties, with lots of rain.025.jpg

That's great you were nice and toasty on your first night out. It's always fun to do some river camping too. Glad you had a good time.

    Copperhead, that is awsome!

What river were you on, and where did you camp?

Glad to hear a good report with you Arrowhead UQ. What type do you have?

I love your canoe. I am in the middle of restoring an old fiberglass canoe, replacing the aluminum with ash and Peruvian walnut. It will end up looking very much like yours when I am done.

Great looking shots. I am so jealous of you southern paddlers. My favorite rivers up here are partially frozen, at least far enough out that if there were a capsize, there would be no escape. Makes a really dangerous situation so I restrain. As soon as ice off, and snow is gone, I will be out there. I may have to come south some winter for a paddle. Great looking boat.

Hey Buffalo skipper, we were just on cold water creek, from hwy 4 to munson hwy. We planned on doing the escambia but the launch was closed. The creek rose about six feet that night, made for some fun paddling. Felt good to just get out. My canoe is a wenonah prospector 16, royalex. I love it, got it last year. I would like to see yours when its finished sounds like a cool project. My quilt is the new river. Here is some more pics.021.jpg

Wow! I don't think I have ever been on the Coldwater when it was that high. Looks good.
