Hey y'all! I just recently got into hammock camping and was watchin some of Shugs youtube vids, and he kept recommending hammockforums.net. So here i am! I just got a new 0-20 degree ascend mummy sleeping bag, a grand trunk single parachute hammock, and a closed cell foam pad. I am still trying to figure out how to rig a tarp. But thats why im here. I plan on learning a lot, as i did from shugs youtube vids for noobs haha he is a riot!!

Hey stringbean...Solobear here, I'm new to hangin' too...(I did freeze my butt off the first night ) Also a fellow Virginian...out on the west side (Blacksburg) near the Jefferson Forest....great place to hang, let me know if you come out this way.

hey i was just in blacksburg haha ya man that would be awsome. dont feel bad i froze my butt off my first time as well. I am goin and hangin out in manborro this weekend and its supposed to be close to 30-35 degrees so i guess ill get to test my new sleeping bag and pad out!
