    Hello from VA

Hey y'all! I just recently got into hammock camping and was watchin some of Shugs youtube vids, and he kept recommending hammockforums.net. So here i am! I just got a new 0-20 degree ascend mummy sleeping bag, a grand trunk single parachute hammock, and a closed cell foam pad. I am still trying to figure out how to rig a tarp. But thats why im here. I plan on learning a lot, as i did from shugs youtube vids for noobs haha he is a riot!!

hey stringbean, hello from a fellow VA hanger. I live in Chesapeake, and so does my friend, we have done 5-6 trips this season on the at and george washington forrest. we are more 3 season so we are pretty much done for the year but will definitely extend an open invitation to join us on any hike next season. we recently did a trip to the dolly sods in W. VA.

The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
    Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Hi Stringbean...I'm a newbie here as well.

Like you, I've been digging through the forums, watching video's, and I "think" I'm prepared for my first hang, but I have this nagging feeling that I might freeze my butt off that first night.

Stringbean, Welcome. There are some good people here who won't mind answering you questions no matter what they are. Mule
