    The "Silent Hammock"?

O.K, I need to draw on the knowledge of all you DIYers.

I had previously hung a hammock in my bedroom, an ENO Doublenest, and my wife said the "swishing sound" of me turning over in the night kept her awake.
So back to the deck I went.

I enjoy sleeping out there, but with the ferocious winds and sometimes bitter cold, it isn't always enjoyable.

So, my question to you all is...Is there a strong, yet soft and silent fabric that I could make a hammock out of?
I love the way my ENO Doublenest hangs so I'll be pretty much making it the same size as it. I know I could do a double layer but, I'd prefer to make it just a single.

Please help, I need to get some good, quality sleep!!!

I think a cotton hammock would be the solution. They are a little more aesthetically pleasing as furniture as well.

Something like this is what I've got in mind:

If it's just for indoor use, how about a heavy cotton or denim? Denim - think about how soft your favorite pair of jeans is. Should be strong enough. A few pre-washes should soften it nicely.

Just what popped into my head right away.

Just had another thought...make a fleece liner for your Doublenest. It would need some seams on each side, like the Eno, to be wide enough. Soft and warm!

Thanks guys! I'm gonna look into the cotton fabrics and see what I can find.

I guess I gotta look up what a silk ghillie suit would cost as well!!

Someone made one out a drop cloth it looked pretty comfy in the picture. I can't remember who or which indoor hanging thread it was in though.

My heavy duty Brazilian is pretty quiet. $70. Don't think you could make one yourself for this price considering how much fabric is involved.

I saw one guy on youtube make a hammock from a king size bed sheet. You get a high thread count sheet and it should be comfy and a little more quiet than the parachute silk. Just a thought.
