    Linville Gorge October 2010

This was my first trip to the Gorge and it was a great one.

During the first part of the week we had rain and wind, but that cleared near the end of the week and was followed by bluebird days and long views.

    Special thanks to:
    Hawkeye for organizing
Hang'n Burrito for meeting me Sunday night
Hickory for showing me all that we had time to see.
Ken for his love of the gorge and maintaing such a good site full of information
And all of the other great folks I had a chance to spend some time with

I made the week into 3 videos. Here they are

    Oct 24-27

    Oct 28-29

    Oct 29-30

I enjoyed the videos TZ. The clouds reminded me of a motorcycle trip I took up the Blue Ridge Parkway. The clouds made the mountains more spectacular. I was fooled by the Chili in the third video. I really thought my leg was being pulled. It looked like bark and leaves and acorns from the trail. Sure it was good though. Great scenery and great fellowship. Looking forward more and more to my first trip there. Until then I will live on reruns of these great videos.

Always nice to see the Gorge and live it vicariously through the rest of ya's. Pretty fall colors by a stream, very nice.

Great pics, great video, nice use of the map to orient viewers, and most excellent narration

You were extremely well prepared for anything thrown at you this trip, as well as a packing a plethora of goodies to share

TZ, I really enjoyed meeting you! Enjoyed Hiking with you also, I would be glad to have you hike with me anytime. Especially knowing that you would hang back and make sure everyone made it ok, or make sure that everyone had a safe out! Super super guy you are, and a good darn wine maker also. Really enjoyed that bottle you handed me as I left.
