Hi, Im pretty new to winter backpacking have only done winter backpacking day hikes. I have all the clothing and gear just need to get snowshoes. I was wondering if someone with some good winter experience would be interested in doing a 50- 100 mile section of the Long trail in late December or January. I'm looking to do only about 8-10 miles tops, depending on terrain and conditions, starting at the bottom of the north side of Greylock in Mass. Was wondering if I would need to get crampons and ice axe as well? Also would it be practical to bring a sled? Let me know if anyone is interested. Thanks!
