Tyvek Tarp Grommets or Nylon loops?

I have a 9x12 hunk of Tyvek and I have it cut and ready for some way to fasten it to my Continuous Ridge Line and stake it out. I have reinforced the corners with two layers of Tyvek Tape for strength. My question is do all you Tyvek tarp owners use grommets or sew on nylon loops via the ultimate Tyvek article directions? Seems to me grommets would eliminate "postage stamp effect" but would have its own limitations.

I used very small rocks... sometimes pennies...

Now I just use my DIY nylon tarp.

Tyvek's not a woven right? I highly recommend reinforced areas with grommets over sewing on non-woven's (99% of the time, anyway).

I use marbles from the kid's toy box since there aren't any pebbles in my part of Florida.

I think that I will be using grommets. I'm worried about sewing the Tyvek an creating a perforation. I would much rather have the sewn in ones if i could only know they wouldn't rip out in the long term.

People sew Tyvek all the time...Mac makes shipping envelopes out of the stuff.

I would try some combination of grosgrain tape and Tyvek tape, and then sew through all of it, using large stitches.

Edit: A number of adhesives work with Tyvek...gluing and stitching might be worth looking into.

I have taped two layers of Tyvek tape over the corners where I plan on placing the grommets/tie-outs. I think that i will try both on some scrap and see what I like best.
