    Sports Authority Down Throws

A couple weeks ago at MAHHA, Dennis told me that Sports Authority has cheap down throws for $20 so I went looking since I want to make under quilts for my two indoor Brazilian hammocks. Well I got lucky because they were marked down to $9.97. As with most stores, anything ending in .97 means its discontinued. I grabbed 8 planning to use them as the building blocks for both under quilts and top quilts for my indoor hammocks plus helping setup a friend's daughter who is also moving to fulltime hammock sleeping.

You'll find these in the camping section near the sleeping bags and pillows. Good hunting.

I picked up one last June when they were $20 Now I'll see if I can get a couple more at that price.

Awesome! I just picked up a couple. I walked in just before they closed tonight and was the reason for them to announce over the loud speaker for all shoppers to get out

hey what material is it made of?
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
    Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

About 3 months ago I bought 2 of these. I could not believe they were so cheap. I got them for $9.97 a piece as well marked down. I believe they still have more so I think I might pick up some more. For the past 2 overnights these 2 quilts have been my top insulation. On a 44 degree night acompanied by the crowsnest they worked great which I was surprised seeing how there is very little loft. The other day I tried them on a 31 degree night and it was aweful haha. I figured they wouldn't work and since it was just my back yard no harm done. Went inside after 3 hours of cold. I mainly wanted to see if I could handle it with these on a real trip in 32 degree weather before I had a real bad night seeing how they're all I have for top insulation.

They weigh 47oz a piece according to my scale. Which is heavy so I planned on removing the duck down and making a shell using both quilts loft. Just haven't got around to it yet. Oh and I have to learn to use one of them fancy thread injectors.

Knotty, if you could please keep us posted about these I would love to know what you ended up making with them and how it turned out.

Anybody running to SA, if you'd be interested in grabbing me a couple, I will re-imburse.

I would appreciate it. I can not find the blankets on the site.

    PM me. Thanks.

First thing I did when I saw the thread was start searching the SA website (did not find the down throw).
