    I was actually going to do a section of the AT (Sam's gap to Erwin) that weekend but this sounds like a perfect time to be introduced to the gorge. My wife is having a friend visit and I need an excuse to vacate the premises.

    I'm gonna keep an eye on this thread, but I'm not even near maybe yet. Not for lack of wanting to go.

    Carrying a full size stainless steel Kelly Kettle is no problem provided you bring 600' of strapping. Now getting it lose is another story....
