Paracord with the inner core removed works good, too. Kinda spendy use for it, though.
“Republics are created by the virtue, public spirit, and intelligence of the citizens. They fall when the wise are banished from the public councils because they dare to be honest, and the profligate are rewarded because they flatter the people, in order to betray them.” ~Judge Joseph Story

IMPOSSIBLE JUST TAKES LONGER
IMO, you can use about anything for a drawcord really. Because it's cheap and easily obtainable from plenty of souces, both online and local, I like to use 550 cord with the center lines pulled out of it and heat sealed on the ends. Add a cord lock from your local outfitter and you're set.

well, owfinc has what I need, but I was asking which one I would want to get. so about 3/16" nylon is good?
the pisi grip cord lock is the bomb digity. it has sharpish edges that bite onto thc cord, they hold alot more force before they slide. good for drawstrings that might be put under tension, like on a uq suspension or something.
