The reason I brought up side sleeping might not fit the intended design (I dont know for sure) but what I understand from reading many posts here, it seems most people sleep mostly on their back. Mac can better answer how it was designed related to side sleepers. As for the legs, that is where it varies. I tend to sleep with one leg straight or slightly bent, and the other bent at the knee with the foot under my knee of the straight leg...

Another thing to play with are the triangle thingies from AHE. Got a pair, they do work.

I have one of the first Tree to Trail Universal UQs and initially had exactly the same problem that dejoha and Rat describe. With a bit of fiddling I managed to get mine to work down to about 40 degrees without fleece or other additional underpad.

For me, the head end worked fairly well if I got my shoulders into the correct place.

To deal with the foot end, I gathered up about half of the fabric at the foot end and attached it to the left hand shock cord attachment point (by the equivalent of wrapping it with an elastic). This effectively reduces the width of the foot end of the UQ by half.

It may take a little fiddling to get the UQ to work for you, but keep in mind that it is an 8oz UQ you can use to 40 or below for a reasonable price. IMO well worth the investment of time, patience, and money.
