What to cut Zing-It/Lash-It/Amsteel with?

Now I just need to figure out a portable cutting board and it's 100% portable. Maybe one of those self healing cutting mats. I'm just afraid the ceramic will make short work of that!

ummm, you want to use wood, right? Aren't there trees where you're hangin'?

I usually find wood all over the place where there are trees.

I just use my utility knife. Fold the cord over the blad, hang on to the two pieces realy tight and pull up and out. Cuts with no problems.

A razor blade that hasnt been used much and a cutting board or piece of wood. It helps make those very very nice angle cuts that they tell you to make while splicing.

Just to put it out there http://www.ceramicknife.org/ sells ceramic razor blades that slide into a lot of bix box store knives. Best of both worlds.

I use a sharp wood chisel and lay my amsteel on a piece of 2X4 and smack it with a hammer. Usually cuts it cleanly.

This is how I do it as well.. Works good to for cuting steal cable too, only use a good cold chisel on a brick or cement block.

It's just hard to cut with anything. Use super glue on the ends to stop the fraying.

I use big, heavy, mean-looking wire cutters. Masterhand, I think they are named. My ladyfriend got them to cut wire that she uses to make jewelry, so don't tell her that I use them to cut Amsteel.
