I went to a get-together over the weekend with some folks from the ADVrider forum.
It was at the Two Wheels Only motorcycle campground in Suches, GA.
I rode over Friday and arrived just after it got dark. It was c-c-cold and windy, and a little bit of snow blew a coupleof times in the evening and overnight. I think that the temperature dropped to about 28 or so.
Saturday morning.
There was a freeze warning through most of the morning, so we didn't get out on the roads until around noon.
The guy on the right -- with the blue dragon sticker on his helmet -- is CalicoJack, who is a member here and who also hung at TWO in his Hennessy.
CalicoJack's rig is under the blue tarp behind the nutter on the 100 cc two-stroke.
That picture was after I re-hung my tarp closer to the ground Saturday to get a little more wind protection. It wasn't windy Saturday like it was Friday night, but the temperature did drop to 21 or 22.
Saturday evening after our ride, we had a bit of a feast.
Walt, the guy nearest the camera, is tending to some duck breasts stuffed with cream cheese and a slice of jalapeno and wrapped in bacon while Billy is putting the finish touches on a Boston butt that he smoked. It was some gooood eatin'.
Sunday, I packed up my gear, said goodbye to my buds, and managed to make the three-hour trip home in about six hours. North Georgia has some great curvy roads.
It was a great weekend of hangin' and ridin'.
