Got PM's and will respond when I get a chance to see how much material I have to make for my friends here on the HF.
I will check to see if I would be making something I should not! I don't want to take any business or steal patents from anyone... The ones I have made were out of No see um and they worked well on Superflys and Speer Winter Tarps. As for other tarps, I'm not sure.
I've made a couple for a reasonable cost as a "favor" to fellow HF members.
I am comfortable I am not infringing on any patents because I make mine to the size of the tarp or hammock and actually can't recall if I've ever been to the HH site for their measurements. If I copied anyone, it was probably JustJeff b/c I used his design for the first set I made myself.
HH trying to defend that patent would have a tough climb. It's like saying:
"I invented a duffel bag to store ??bananas?? in. No one else can sell a bag of any sorts for storing bananas."
Don't know why bananas came to mind. Now I can't get banana hammock out of my head. Darn it...Now I'm thinking of Greg Louganous.
