    Lifetips website is funny...

    http://hammock.lifetips.com/cat/60816/camping-hammocks/

Heh...some funny stuff on this one. Like saying camping hammocks don't protect you from the rain, and that sleeping in a hammock is warmer than on the ground b/c the ground is cold.

Pretty cool format, though - could be a useful website with a few updates.

I tried to post some comments but they're moderated...wonder if they'll show up.

    Thumbs down Tip 17

Camping hammocks can't protect you from the rain. True, there are diehards out there who will simply pull a poncho over themselves and wait out the storm, but your best bet is to pack a tent as a backup in case of a turn in the weather.
Nobody in HF told me I needed to pack my tent also.

What, you don't stop by Duty Free for some perfume samples before each hike? How on earth are you going to manage a thru without smelling like a stinky hiker???
