Thanks for the video. The first area that you looked at. Provides a bunch of convenient hanging locations and being flat will make for relatively easy hiking. We can expect cold and snow, maybe even lots of snow. If wind is thrown into the mix. Hang sites with some sort of wind break will become a prime consideration. With that in mind the small creek you showed. I believe that you called it Pebble Run and marked it as option two on your GPS. Might be a good place for the first nights hang. When you panned the camera around the area. There seemed to be some pines that looked as if the would provide some wind break. If that is the case and with the close proximity of water. This could be a strong candidate. If situations work out for you and you can get back up to the area in January. Perhaps you will find some even better locations. And if not I think what you have already scouted is very doable. After seeing the video I am psyched up and raring to go.

Well my plan is to follow the mosquito creek trail south down to bridge trail turning east to the east cross connector trail then back to the Quehanna Hwy and back west to cars total mileage should be 12-14 miles total hiking the whole 3 day trip . I can make it longer depends on what people want and it will be mostly flat terrain so not hard hiking for winter which I felt people would appreciate . Now don't expect breath taking views as it is flat area and winter not like the gorge . So folks please give me your feed back so we can hopefully make further plans thanks

This sounds like a good plan to me. 12-14 miles may not sound like a lot for 3 days to some. But keeping in mind that we are talking Feb with the distinct possibility of snow. This is probably a good target mileage. If weather and trail conditions prove to be favorable or even unfavorable. The mileages can be adjust up or down as the group decides. I am hoping that others will jump in and throw some opinions out.

I figured with the weather in February and possibility of breaking trail with snow shoes 6 miles a day on sat and sun should be plenty so that it can be enjoyable

12 - 14 miles sounds like a good loop for a 3 day winter trek. Video looked good and this looks like it could turn out to be a lot of fun!

If dates work out and its within 7 hrds of Baltimore MD count me in. I vote for MLK weekend. Just my 2 cents.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.
