stone - how much snow is on the ground in that area?

Paul - how's it look for you, are you going to make it? I've got one guy that might have to bail due to having to work the weekend and another guy that might due to temps. I've got 1 that is for sure going and 1 as this morning said he was so that's 3 I think for sure that are going? If you can't make MRT could you possibly due Waterloo or maybe Pinkney?

Is there anyone else that is thinking about going, if so I won't even bother discussing a change of location.

Patrick... I'm on the fence and will know for sure tonight, just trying to be fair with GF as I was just gone most of this past week... I'll let you know tomorrow one way or the other... I would be able to do an overnight locally if this falls apart...

well, i just had another buddy put the clause in and another is out due to work so that's basically me + 1.5 but as the weekend nears i'm guessing it's just me.

Paul - when you did that shake out a while back at pinckney did you stay at blind lake? did you try calling them at 724-426-4913 cause when i call this number i get the recording and then told to stay on the line and then it disconnects.

Didn't make Blind Lake camp, ended up at Green Lake which is for the most part WIDE open.... With late start that night I couldn't find parking close to Blind and didn't want a 4 mile hike late at night...

I'm out for MRT as GF has family Christmas party Saturday night. I'd be up for Pickney Area Friday afternoon and evening. We could park at Silver Lake and hike into Crooked about 2 miles or park at Pickerel Lake and hike into Blind about 4 miles. Or car camp at either Crooked or Green Lake CG, both are rustic sites...

i just chatted with the ranger girl at Pinckney, the only place that is open during the winter is blind lake and you have to park at silver lake main parking lot. i asked if we could park on the side of the road or on noah road somewhere but the answer was no. so right now, i'm thinking about doing the 5 mile hike from silver lake parking lot to blind lake. we could probably cache most of the gear at a road cross to make the first part of the walk easier.
most of the people that would go from my side wouldn't want to take friday off and it looks like my friday just got filled with work stuff - yippee.

i'll post again if and when to confirm plans along with a map.

yeah...two of the people going can't take vacation. the walk in would put them in the dark. i just hosed up my tarp last night by sewing the wrong side up and one side down which i can't believe i'm telling not mention i sewed one of the tie outs on the inside not once but twice...this all before i started drinking.
right now i'm just tired of play suzie cruise director so as it stands with or without people i'm going to pinckney to try out some new gear and my pulk.

anyway - if you can't make it i understand, time is valuable and has to be shared right now. we'll be able to hook up again along with others hopefully.
