    Walmart Nylon - Down-proof?

I bought 12 yards of the nylon material from my local Walmart's clearance bin last night. I want to make a down UQ, but I'm not sure if it is down-proof or not. If so, great. If not, is there any way to make it down-proof? Is there any types of sprays or other material to add to it that would work? Thanks!

Does it have any coating? Some of my Walmart finds have a DWR coating and others don't. Without a coating I'm fairly sure it won't be downproof.

I found some DWR spray. If I apply that, do you think it would work for this application?

"Down Proof" fabric is gnerally considered fabric that has been calendared, which is when the fabric is run though a set of hot rollers at the factory. The hot rollers heat the fabric just enough for the fibers of the weave to bond together ever so slightly. Normally the fabric will look slightly shiny and have a little bit smoother feel to it than non calendared fabrics. Of all the fabric I have seen at Wally non have been calendared, though most of what they have (especially the cheep stuff) is close outs and seconds they buy in massive bulk orders, so best answer is maybe maybe no.

If you can take a picture of both sides, it may help. And no there is no way to make non-down proof into down proof.
