    Good Camo ripstock for hammock

I found this on ebay. Would this be a good ripstop for a hammock?
    Thanks

expensive, $10 for first yard, $5 a yard after that. a hammock (3 yards) would total $20 shipped. I guess its ok, but there is cheaper material at walmart

also it says it is waterproof, in which case it would be bad.

yeah, thats the new woodland digital camo, i've only seen the urban digital for sale so far, 1.9 coated makes a heavy tarp though, i emailed and asked if he had any breathable 1.1 or 1.9, i bet a few folks here will grab that stuff up though.

tnoisaw, that stuff is coated, you want breathable fabric for a hammock, you could make a tarp out of it though, it will be alot heavier than a sil tarp, but thats some cool looking camo.

Here's some 1.9oz uncoated camo. Spendy but camo usually is.

you could push 1.4 oz if wanted, but 1.9 ripstop is the best. It also allows you to hang your entire pack in with you.

silnylon is standard, it weighs 1.3-1.5 oz/yd. the listed weight of a coated fabric is often the weight of the fabric before the coating is applied, and is actually heavier. sil is sometimes listed as 1.1, and that 1.9 coated on ebay probably weighs 2.5 at least, that stuff is interesting because i haven't seen the digital woodland camo for sale in ripstop yet, it's new, the only digital ripstop i know of is the owf, and it's the grey digital, not woodland colors like this stuff.
